In 2007 the fixed satellite service (FSS) and mobile satellite service (MSS) industries had combined wholesale revenues estimated at $9.6 billion. In 2008, both industries will have to deliver growth in revenues and cash flows to finance new investment and/or to pay dividends to shareholders. Both FSS and MSS operators will face challenges and opportunities, first in relation to economic growth in their geographic markets, but also regarding satellite launches, financing and regulatory decisions.
The prospects of a credit crunch and low stock values will raise the interest of new investors or those returning to the sector, with attention focusing on business fundamentals and quality of operations.
The World Satellite Business Week will gather over 70 top level speakers representing global & regional operators, private equities, investors, satellite manufacturers, launch service providers and insurers. Each year the conference brings together all the players of the global satellite industry to discuss industry trends and prospects in satellite financing in a difficult market environment. Existing and new satellite operators will present their business model, their strategies for business expansion and how they prepare to take on new challenges and opportunities.
The World Satellite Business Week provides a unique opportunity to gain invaluable information on the satellite industry and to network and do business with key business players.
We look forward to welcoming you in Paris on September 8th for 6th World Symposium on Market Forecasts for Satellite Business and from 9th to 11th September for 12th World Summit for Satellite Financing.
