Nilesat is an Investment Egyptian Company established in July 1996. It has launched 2 satellites at 7˚W. (Nilesat 101 & 102). Additional leased Space capacity on AB4 satellite operating also at 7˚W (called Nilesat 103). Nilesat currently broadcast 446 TV channels, of which 78% are FTA. Nilesat services include Digital Video Broadcasting and Broadband services. Nilesat has signed contract with Thales Alenia space to manufacture and deliver in-Orbit Nilesat 201 which is expected to launch in Q1 2009, carrying 24 KU band transponders and 4 KA band transponders in the same orbital position.

The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) is the Russian state satellite operator with global coverage. RSCC possesses and operates 11 GEO satellites providing services in C-, Ku-, and L- bands. The satellites are positioned between 14 W and 140 E, and cover the territory from Eastern coast of America to Australia. RSCC provides a wide range of communications services via its satellite fleet and terrestrial facilities: TV and radio broadcasting, contribution and distribution, occasional use, telephony, data, Internet, video conferencing, VSAT networks. With Express-AM33 satellite launched in January 2008 RSCC commenced a new renovation program that includes 15 spacecraft to be launched till 2015.
